The People Behind Your Loan 

When you get a loan from Boomerang, you'll deal with real people at every step. That includes the loan officer who knows your deal, the processors and underwriters who move it forward, and the operations team who sees it through. 

Rob Jafek

Principal 

Rob has been involved since the inception of Boomerang. He has a long history in finance, serving as Head of International Trading for Nicholas Applegate and an analyst for Tiger Management. Later founding two alternative investment firms: Plumeria Advisors and Torrey Pines Capital Investments. He's a contributing member to Forbes and the Forbes Real Estate Council. Outside work, Rob enjoys family time, scuba diving, cycling, and cooking (and eating).

Allen Marsh 

Managing Director 

Allen oversees Boomerang’s operations and real estate acquisition, development, management, and disposition. Before joining in 2014, he spent 30+ years in investment real estate at Pacific Western Partners, Pinnacle Realty, and Koll Management. He holds a BS in Finance and Real Estate from ASU, an Arizona Real Estate Broker’s License, and AAPL’s Certified Fund Manager designation. Allen enjoys time with his wonderful wife, children and grandchildren.

Chris Marohn 

Senior Vice President 

Chris is a reformed lawyer who was looking for something more. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, he has a fierce loyalty to the Giants and anyone playing the Dodgers. He's a social butterfly who likes finding original ways to solve problems and help others succeed. In his spare time, he loves being with his wife and dog.

Andrew Bang

Director of Lending 

Andrew Bang is Boomerang Capital’s top loan originator. From 2022 to 2024, he ranked #1 in the U.S. for closed loans by an individual non-QM originator. Since 2019, he has originated $900M+ in loans.

An ASU-trained accountant turned investor, Andrew flipped his first home in 2008, has completed 300+ projects, and earned Mesa’s 2015 Historic Preservation Award.

He is also the bestselling author of Fix, Flip, and Fail: Real Estate Investing Mistakes.

Megan Marohn 

Vice President 

From the very beginning, Megan has shown she's comfortable wearing many hats. She currently works across investor relations, marketing, and systems implementation. She's passionate about dog rescue, traveling to meet new people, eating amazing food, and creating beautiful things.

Brandon Jewell

Vice President of Lending 

 Brandon was a former Bank Manager and Loan Officer in the East Valley with nearly 20 years of management, sales, and lending experience. Originally, from Michigan, he moved with his dogs to Arizona in 2018, giving up snow shovels and cold winters, for the beautiful weather and scenery of State 48! If he’s not watching the Detroit Lions, or Michigan Football, you may run into him on the golf course, or at a concert as he’s been to over 100!

Alexander Carrilho

Loan Officer 

Alex has been with Boomerang Capital since 2023, building his career in real estate lending around strong relationships and helping investors bring deals together. He takes pride in making sure his investors are positioned to make money on their deals and believes the best partnerships are those where everyone has the opportunity to grow together.

Above all, Alex is a devoted husband and father of three who values time spent with his family. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, cars, watches, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings. His faith and family are an important part of who he is and continue to shape both his personal and professional life.

Vanessa Montoya

Loan Officer

Vanessa is a seasoned lending professional with over 15 years of experience in the industry. Beyond her career, she is also a passionate real estate investor, leveraging her expertise to make smart investments. When she is not crunching numbers or exploring real estate opportunities, you can find her outdoors whether it’s hiking, camping or simply enjoying the beauty of nature.

Michael joined after two years as an insurance broker. With a background in finance and marketing, he’s helped hundreds of investors. Originally from Nashville, he made his way to Texas and real estate after graduating from Miami of Ohio's Farmer School of Business. An experienced investor himself, brings extra insight to every transaction.

Jennifer DelNero

Loan Processor

Jenn has been involved in hard money lending since 2005. Processing loans for Boomerang Capital, she enjoys being behind the scenes, closing deals, and working with teammates and title companies to create smooth, compliant transactions. In her free time, Jenn can be found traveling and enjoying her family.

Vanessa Watson

Loan Processor

Vanessa brings over a decade of processing experience with a focus on first-time buyers, HELOCs, and refinancing. Fluent in Spanish and passionate about numbers, she's traded the corporate world for a business that feels like family. Outside of work, she enjoys water activities and has a knack for party decorating.

Nikesea Crump

Loan Processor

Nikesea has over nine years of experience in the mortgage industry, specializing in operations, underwriting, and loan originations. With a strong understanding of the lending process, she is known for her attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to delivering exceptional service. Beyond her mortgage career, Nikesea is an entrepreneur with experience owning and operating a business, as well as managing accounting and financial operations. Her diverse background brings a unique blend of industry expertise and business leadership. Outside of work, she is a proud mother to her 21-year-old son and enjoys spending quality time with her family.

Matthew Shelton

Analyst

Matthew brings a wide range of experience across multiple fields, giving him a practical, no-nonsense approach to solving problems and getting results. He values clear communication, efficiency, and great service. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, reading horror novels, and spending time with his cat, Franky.

James Worden

Analyst

Originally from Northern California, James holds a degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University–Hawaii. Before joining his current team, he worked in higher education, where he developed a strong attention to detail and a passion for helping others. In his current role, James is a utility player, contributing across a variety of areas and bringing his strengths wherever they’re most useful.

Outside of work, James enjoys cooking, spending quality time with his wife and their lively household of four cats and a dog, and staying active. He loves being outdoors whenever he can and taking in nature. In his downtime, he enjoys Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

Anh Vu

Loan Officer Assistant

Anh is a seasoned professional with over 10 years in retail banking and mortgage lending. Known for a client-focused approach and deep industry knowledge, she helps individuals and families navigate financing with confidence and clarity, building a reputation for integrity, reliability, and results. Outside of work, Anh enjoys raising two energetic boys and finding joy in the everyday moments.

Amiya Kaminski

Paralegal

Amiya is an Arizona native with a Political Science degree from Arizona State University and an A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies and Paralegal Certificate from Rio Salado College. Her background spans family law, real estate lending, and administrative operations, and she brings a sharp eye for detail and a calm hand when things get complicated. At Boomerang, she supports the team with loan processing, file management, property tax compliance, and post-closing coordination. She is known for keeping things organized, communicating clearly, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks. Outside of work, Amiya is passionate about F1 racing and all things Harry Potter and Marvel, and can usually be found trying a new restaurant or deep into her latest video game.

Pam Alward

Loan Operations Assistant

Pam is a dedicated professional who balances a full work schedule while continuing her education. She brings years of experience, reliability, and a strong work ethic to her role, and her commitment to lifelong learning inspires those around her. She takes pride in contributing to her workplace and community.

Letisha Thompson

Loan Operations Assistant

Letisha is an invaluable part of the Boomerang team. Always enthusiastic and attentive to loan customers, she's quick to jump in and help, including translating when the situation calls for it, and her skills make for a smooth customer journey through the draw process. In her spare time, she enjoys morning runs and time outdoors.

Jacob Oliver

Specialist

Born and raised under the Arizona sun, Jacob brings a diverse background and a strong attention to detail to the Loan Servicing department. With a background as a Medicare broker and several years with the company, he plays an important role in supporting the team and helping keep operations running smoothly. Off the clock, you'll find Jacob at an Arizona sports game or at the movies.

 An Arizona native, Cade finds fulfillment in optimizing monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, transforming complex data into actionable insights. Outside the office, he enjoys time with his beautiful wife and is an automotive and racing enthusiast. Whether watching Formula 1, working on cars, or building Lego and model vehicles, he loves understanding how things work. Cade is currently researching MBA programs, fueled by plenty of premium chocolate

Mike Petrovich

Senior Underwriter 

Michael Petrovich is a Senior Underwriter with 20+ years in real estate, including 10 years as a residential appraiser, commercial valuation at the Maricopa County Assessor’s Office, and nearly a decade of title inspections.

At Boomerang, Mike underwrites residential investment loans, assessing collateral and risk, and oversees construction draw approvals. Married 30+ years, Mike and his wife have four children. He enjoys family time and snowboarding.

Jack Barkocy

Underwriter

Jack joined Boomerang Capital as an underwriter after working in real estate acquisitions at New Western. Originally from Colorado, he earned a Bachelor's in Business with a concentration in Real Estate and Marketing from Colorado State University and holds an Arizona Real Estate License. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, staying active, and following Colorado sports.

Brandy Nash

Director of Loan Resolution & Technical Writer

Brandy studied at Arizona State University, where she completed multiple degrees. She has a wide breadth of real estate experience, including HOAs and real estate management. Hard money lending is a new field for her, but her background and skill set have proven to be a huge asset to Boomerang. In her personal time, she enjoys traveling, festivals, and sporting events.

Sowmya Prasad

CRM Engineer

Sowmya is an engineer who recently earned a Master's in Computer Science from ASU. She's passionate about making technology work harder for businesses, with prior experience doing exactly that in financial services and hard money lending. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and discovering new trails across Arizona.

Deena Phillips

Operations Assistant

Deena was raised in Cache Valley, Utah, and moved to Arizona for graphic design school. She worked in the valley as a graphic designer for 25 years, and now lends her talents wherever they're needed. New to the financial world, she has enjoyed the change and looks forward to contributing to the whole team's success. Her hobbies are cooking, camping, and, above all, art.
